Bob Mathe, President
Bob is responsible for structuring Evogi’s product offerings and managing R&D, operations, professional services, customer service, key account development and strategic partnerships. Bob has a distinguished 35-year career in the insurance industry. As one of the core management members at Progressive Casualty Insurance from 1977 to 2000, where he was instrumental in propelling the historic rise of Progressive from $40M in revenue to over $14B during his tenure. He started the Commercial Vehicle Division initially serving as President and later as GM of Information Systems. He has deep knowledge in acquiring and managing data, strategy and execution, operational effectiveness and business development. After Progressive, Bob served as CIO for GMAC and managed call center operations for Personal Lines. He then moved on to Zurich Insurance as chief product manager for motor insurance North America and Director of Commercial Auto where he built the risk selection model and underwriting workbench for that product. Bob then became a Director with GMAC International Insurance, working in Shanghai where he pioneered insurance product offerings into China. He holds a BS and an MBA from William and Mary.
Thomas L. Smith, CFO
Tom has responsibilities for Evogi’s capital strategy, revenue and pricing models, strategic partnerships, and managing the financial affairs of the Company. Tom has 20 years of finance and operations experience the last twelve of which have been in technology ventures with a focus on wireless communications and SaaS delivery models. Tom has developed an expertise in understanding market opportunities, structuring innovative solutions with compelling value propositions, recruiting management teams and financing operations to achieve success. He earned an MBA from the Marriott School of Business at BYU and received a B.A. in Economics and a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado.
Terje Gloerstad, Chief Technology Officer
Terje runs Evogi’s R&D teams including application development and integrated hardware solutions. He brings over 20 years of management experience in the high tech industry working for diverse and high-profile companies like Rockwell, Conexant, Microlink, Broadcom, and Texas Instruments. While at Texas Instruments, his team developed mobile phone solutions for leading companies such as Nokia, Erikson, Motorola, LG, Samsung, and HTC. Terje has a global relationship network with many telecom and tech companies’ functional areas such as IC and module companies, test houses, manufacturing, telecom, and handset ODM/OEMs. Terje earned his MSEE at ASU (USA) and an MBA from the Business Institute (Denmark). He also received Executive Education from London Business School (UK) & INSEAD (France).
Joe Armeni, VP Personal Lines Solutions
Joe manages Evogi’s Personal Lines solutions and brings over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry to Evogi. He began his career at Allstate Insurance Company where he served in various leadership roles in the areas of sales, operations and underwriting. While in charge of underwriting for Allstate’s New Jersey operation, Joe was instrumental in managing to profitability the Company’s $1 billion in written premiums. Joe then joined OneBeacon and managed sales and marketing, where he successfully established strong relationships with the company’s independent agency force and played a key role in the development and implementation of one of the most innovative product lines in the Personal Lines arena. Joe also served as President and COO of New Jersey Skylands, a reciprocal exchange and subsidiary of OneBeacon, where he helped successfully transform Skyands to a consistent, significant return in the wake of unprecedented market competition. Joe is currently a licensed Property and Casualty producer and holds a B.S. in Management and MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University.
