The Evogi Group is the premier global provider of vehicle telematics and associated information-based services for the insurance, finance, automotive, and fleet industries.  Vehicle telematics means the technology used for collecting, sending, receiving and storing information via telecommunication devices. Telematics may include, but is not limited to, your vehicle’s global positioning, engine management, computer and mobile communications systems. 

The Evogi Group provides services to those that require the collection, storage and use of business and/or personally identifiable information and the dissemination of data gathered from vehicles to companies and to individuals. For companies these services include support for usage based insurance programs, fleet tracking, driver training, risk management and the like. For individuals, these services include support for usage based insurance programs, safety communications, emergency vehicle alerts, information about vehicle location and theft tracking, and assistance with lock-outs. The Evogi Group and the companies we support also use the data collected in aggregate analysis in order to develop new value-added products and services for its customers.  When used in aggregate analysis, the data collected will be stripped of personally identifiable information.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of the business and/or personally identifiable information we gather when you access the web sites controlled by us and use our products and services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that the Evogi Group does not own or control, or to individuals the Evogi Group does not employ or manage.

What  Business and/or Personally Identifiable Information Does the Evogi Group Collect?

The information we gather from users enables us to personalize and improve our services, and allows our users to set up user accounts and profiles that can be used to interact with other users through our web sites. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some features. The business and/or personally identifiable information you provide is used for such purposes as collecting payment for services; providing the information in the services; responding to your requests for certain information, products and services; customizing the content you see; and communicating with you about safety and service issues.

Business and/or Personally Identifiable information Collected Automatically:

We receive and store certain types of information when you interact with websites of The Evogi Group or obtain services from us. The Evogi Group automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, The Evogi Group cookie information, and the page you requested. We also record the details of your transactions on our web sites.

Generally, our services automatically collect usage information; such as the location, speed, and other performance data of a vehicle equipped with an Evogi Group device installed; and numbers and frequency of visitors to our various sites. Other than uses in providing the services to you (and insurer or others whom you have authorized to receive such information), The Evogi Group only uses this data in aggregate form; that is, as a statistical measure, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how often users use parts of our web sites or services so that we can make our web sites appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and the web sites, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. We also share this type of statistical data so that our partners learn more about business operations and driving behavior.   The Evogi Group never discloses aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.

Information Collected from E-mail Communications:

We often receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from The Evogi Group, if your computer supports this type of program. The Evogi Group uses this confirmation to help us make e-mails more effective and helpful.

Information Collected from Cookies:

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people.

Will The Evogi Group Share Any of the Business and/or personally identifiable information it Receives?

Business and/or personally identifiable information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your business and/or personally identifiable information to anyone. Payment Related Information:

We may from time to time use a third party payment processing company to collect payment from customers and will share your name, and other payment information (such as credit card number) with them for the purposes of collecting payment from you for our services.

Customers Who Open End User Accounts:

If the device in your vehicle or access to the services is partially paid for by another person, an organization, or a company (for example, your employer, your insurer, or your parents), then we will share your business and/or personally identifiable information with that person, organization, or company when they access their account to view the information available through our service.

Affiliated Businesses We Do Not Control:

We are affiliated with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. The Evogi Group may provide services, or sell products jointly with its affiliated businesses. We will share user information only as required to complete such transactions with that affiliated business.

Law Enforcement and Regulatory Agencies:

We will share your business and/or personally identifiable information when we're legally required to provide data, such as in response to a subpoena in a civil lawsuit, by police when investigating the cause of an accident or when we are required to provide our data to a state department of insurance to support statistical analysis; and as otherwise required by law (for example, for tax purposes or for reporting suspicious transactions).

Agents:

We use other companies, agencies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and may need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Examples include sending email, analyzing data, and providing user services. Unless we tell you differently, The Evogi Group's agents do not have any right to use the business and/or personally identifiable information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.

User Profiles:

User profile information that you elect to make public, including User ID may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within our web sites.

Communication in Response to User Submissions:

As part of our web sites and services, you may receive from The Evogi Group, or its agents, e-mail and other communication in response to communications you initiated with The Evogi Group. You acknowledge and agree that by initiating such communications, The Evogi Group and its agents may send you e-mail and other communications that they determine relate to your initial communications.

Business Transfers:

In some cases we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Moreover, if The Evogi Group, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that The Evogi Group goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. The Evogi Group is committed to handling your customer information with high security standards. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and we authorize access to business and/or personally identifiable information only for those employees or affiliates of The Evogi Group who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Your Evogi Group account and business and/or personally identifiable information are protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to ensure that there is no unauthorized access to your account and business and/or personally identifiable information by selecting a strong password and preventing its disclosure to others, and by limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

The Evogi Group endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private. However, The Evogi Group cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Our web sites contain links to other sites. The Evogi Group is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on The Evogi Group web sites.

What Other Choices Do I Have?

A minimum amount of business and/or personally identifiable information is required in order to use our services. If you opt not to disclose the minimum, this will be the equivalent of terminating your services, which is always an option in accordance with the termination provisions of the Terms and Conditions of your Sales Order.

You are able to add or update certain information on pages, such as those listed in the "What Business and/or personally identifiable information Can I Access" section above. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.

You may request deactivation of your account and deletion of business and/or personally identifiable information in your account by sending a letter with a verified tracking number (e.g. via national post with return receipt) to the Evogi Group office as identified in evogi.com; send the letter to the attention of: "Legal Services." Please note that when your personally identifiable information is deleted we no longer have the ability to provide you with services or to send you information. Additionally, some of your information may remain in our records after deactivation of your account.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Evogi Group may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used or collected. If we make changes in the way we use Business and/or personally identifiable information, we will notify you via e-mail or by posting an announcement on our web sites. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the services after such changes have been posted.
