The Evogi Group is the premier global provider of vehicle telematics and associated information-based services for the insurance, finance, automotive, and fleet industries. Vehicle telematics means the technology used for collecting, sending, receiving and storing information via telecommunication devices. Telematics may include, but is not limited to, your vehicle’s global positioning, engine management, computer and mobile communications systems.
The Evogi Group provides services to those that require the collection, storage and use of business and/or personally identifiable information and the dissemination of data gathered from vehicles to companies and to individuals. For companies these services include support for usage based insurance programs, fleet tracking, driver training, risk management and the like. For individuals, these services include support for usage based insurance programs, safety communications, emergency vehicle alerts, information about vehicle location and theft tracking, and assistance with lock-outs. The Evogi Group and the companies we support also use the data collected in aggregate analysis in order to develop new value-added products and services for its customers. When used in aggregate analysis, the data collected will be stripped of personally identifiable information.
At the Evogi Group, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We understand you value your privacy, and that you want to know how we use the data collected through our companies.
What Business and/or Personally Identifiable Information Does the Evogi Group Collect?
The information we gather from users enables us to personalize and improve our services, and allows our users to set up user accounts and profiles that can be used to interact with other users through our web sites. In connection with our web sites, we may request and display some business and/or personally identifiable information to other users and visitors of our web sites, which allows users to identify each other. We collect the following types of information from our users:
Business and/or Personally Identifiable Information You Provide to Us:
We receive and store any information you enter on our web sites or provide to us in any other way, including, but not limited to information gathered as part of the sign up process and by telematics devices as you use our services. The types of business and/or personally identifiable information collected may include your name, occupation, type of vehicle, address, phone number, and email address and information about your use of the services on the web sites, as well as credit card, debit card or bank account information. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some features. The business and/or personally identifiable information you provide is used for such purposes as collecting payment for services; providing the information in the services; responding to your requests for certain information, products and services; customizing the content you see; and communicating with you about safety and service issues.
Business and/or Personally Identifiable information Collected Automatically:
We receive and store certain types of information when you interact with websites of The Evogi Group or obtain services from us. The Evogi Group automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, The Evogi Group cookie information, and the page you requested. We also record the details of your transactions on our web sites.
Generally, our services automatically collect usage information; such as the location, speed, and other performance data of a vehicle equipped with an Evogi Group device installed; and numbers and frequency of visitors to our various sites. Other than uses in providing the services to you (and insurer or others whom you have authorized to receive such information), The Evogi Group only uses this data in aggregate form; that is, as a statistical measure, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how often users use parts of our web sites or services so that we can make our web sites appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and the web sites, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. We also share this type of statistical data so that our partners learn more about business operations and driving behavior. The Evogi Group never discloses aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.
Information Collected from E-mail Communications:
We often receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from The Evogi Group, if your computer supports this type of program. The Evogi Group uses this confirmation to help us make e-mails more effective and helpful.
Information Collected from Cookies:
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people.
